Cadence Anne

So after many requests for updated photos of my pride and joy, here they are!  These were taken in my driveway when the cherry blossoms were falling a few weeks ago.

Stephanie & Rocco at Valley Forge National Park

After meeting Stephanie for the first time a few days before Christmas, I arrived home and told my husband, "I think I may have just met the nicest person in the world!" So when Stephanie asked me if she could have her engagement session at Valley Forge National Park where Rocco proposed, I immediately said yes.  The evening could not have been more lovely. Photographing this amazing couple at sunset in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside led to some gorgeous shots!

Marianne & Dave at Gibraltar Garden

I called Marianne & Dave just as the rain started to pour on the day of their engagement session.  "Do you want to reschedule," I asked, "or do want to take our chances and see what happens?" When they replied a few moments later, "Let's press our luck and see what happens!" I knew right away I was in for an adventure! It was still raining when the time came to leave for Gibralar so I grabbed my trusty assistant at the last moment and a gazillion umbrellas and off we went! Turned out these two were most definitely up for anything. They carried one umbrella over them and my assistant carried another umbrella over me & the camera.  Off we ventured into the rain and left with these amazing shots!

06.07.08 ~ Becky & Matt's Wedding in West Chester, PA

Matt & Becky are one of those couples who are incredibly sweet yet full of fun & life.  Their day was filled with non-stop jokes and laughter and a good time was had by all! I especially loved the fact that Becky wore her Grandmother's wedding gown and was married in the church where her Grandmother was wed.  Now isn't that romantic?
Here's a lovely moment captured between Shannon & James, who I had the pleasure of photographing last fall.  Shannon and I had a good time bonding over the best way to photograph Becky's cake at the start of the reception.
A wonderful bouquet toss catch caught (how's that for a mouthful?) by my assistant. I love how the girls are in mid leap and the flowers have yet to be officially caught by either one.  The girl in the black dress ends up with the final prize at the end of the day.
I loved the way Matt was looking at Becky during their first dance.

Kristel & Todd at Gibraltar Gardens

I met with Kristel & Todd last Tuesday at Gibraltar Gardens around sunset. It was immediately apparent that they are one of those couples who feel perfectly content & comfortable around one another. In fact, I feel relaxed just looking at their photographs. They will most certainly have a life filled with peace & love.  Congrats Kristel & Todd!

05.31.08 ~ Stephanie & Dave's Wedding at the Lake House Inn

"Stephanie & Dave sure know how to throw a party," were the first words out of my mouth upon leaving the Lake House Inn last Saturday night. Every little detail of the entire day was simply gorgeous and well thought out. And what a fun night everyone had! The dance floor was packed the entire night and the line to the bar seemed to go on forever. Everywhere I looked, people were laughing and having a great time. Believe me, it was quite difficult to narrow the photos down to the ones I have shown here.
I love the Love Bird theme that Stephanie had woven throughout her wedding details, from love notes for guest favors to love doves on top of the cake.
I have always said that the Lake House Inn is one of my top favorite wedding spots in the Delaware Valley. The rain cleared just in time to have the ceremony right on the lake.
Stephanie had this incredible idea for a Bridal Martini Bar consisting of Something Old (Dirty Martini), Something New (a signature Chocolatinni), Something Borrowed (a delicious looking martini called Cup of Sugar), and Something Blue (Cosmo Saphire ~ which I'm guessing was blueberry flavored).
The tent was decorated to the max with creams, browns, and baby blues.
Of course we had to step out of the reception for some quick shots in front of the lake at sunset.
