04.17.08 ~ Ellen & Doug

I always know the day's photographs are going to be extraordinarily beautiful when I am able to fall in love with a bride during the getting ready portion of the day.  And how easy it was to fall in love with Ellen!  Sweet, kind, warm, & glowing ~ I knew I liked her from our very first consultation together and her wedding photographs reflect just that. Even her family was one of the loveliest I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Ellen & Doug, I wish to you the best of luck in everything you do & I hope you enjoy your photographs as much as I enjoyed creating them!
Below is a shot of me with Ellen taken by my associate photographer.  I think I might have been just as excited as she was! You can also see how I like to put my associate to work during the ceremony by taking panoramas from the back while I focus on the close ups of the bride & groom.
I loved her nontraditional cake decorated with poetry and pink butterflies! It went perfectly with the location of her classy dinner party ~ George's ~ filled with rustic ambiance & the most delicious food! Who knew pan fried chicken and mac & cheese casserole could make for such an elegant meal? American cuisine at its finest! Like the rest of her affair, Ellen's bouquets & dress were also the epitome of casual elegance.  I loved her strapless dress with the delicate beading & ribbon decorating the bust and a beautifully laced corset on the back.
